2017 Conference Grant Contest:

Move Forward Bravely!

Congratulations to SCBWI member Tricia Candemeres for winning the 2017 Summer Conference Grant Contest!

Tricia is from Thousand Oaks. She will receive $1000 toward the SCBWI Summer Conference registration fee and hotel expenses.

In order to assure anonymity, judging for the contest came from outside our region. Once again, we had terrific entries from all over our region.

Thank you to everyone who participated!

Write an action plan to describe how you would use the grant

to further your dreams and win $1000 to attend

the SCBWI Summer Conference in LA.

Bravery can look different at every stage of your creative career. How will YOU be brave this year?

This opportunity is open to all SCBWI members (published OR not-yet-published) who reside in any of the following counties: Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, or Kern. It will be awarded to one writer or one illustrator, as chosen by our judges. This grant is intended to contribute to the costs of tuition, a hotel room, and parking.
