Book Talk

Book Talk is a monthly online children's book discussion taking place on the SCBWI Central-Coastal California listserv. It began in July 2003 when SCBWI CenCal Advisory Board Member Lynn Becker was given a green light to take her passion for children's books online and share it with the region as a discussion leader, which she has done for over ten years.

Book Talk selections are announced several months in advance on the CenCal listserv. Click on this link to join the listserv: SCBWI-CCal-subscribe@onelist.com. Discussions begin on the first of each month with an overview of the selected book. Then readers are invited to join in at any time with comments or questions about the featured book. Readers may also make book recommendations, some of which become Book Talk books in the future.
